The 20 bpm was actually 9 bpm but its still cool. My middle school dis 20 bpm for a while then tried march time then went to temp 3

So, at my school, when I was a young elementary student, in the classrooms, there were fire alarms, similar to the ones you've been demoing. i guess you can call them, squealing fire drills. cause the sound of the alarm, is an octive higher than the sound of this exact alarm in this video. however, the high pitch alarm sound sounds very very raspy. it's not as high as the high pitch of a normal smoke detecter sound. the sound i remember as a child in the classrooms, had the alarm sound of what sounds like an old 90s Kia mini van with a dying horn on it. what model of horn is that? the squealing fire alarm. and again, it's an octive higher than this alarm you demoed in the video. very raspy, very squeally, and it sounds like an old 90s horn from a Kia mini van that's about to die. let me know bro. i've been looking all over on youtube for that squealy alarm sound. i think it's probably a simplex model too man. i use to be afraid of that alarm when it would go off in my classroom when i was a young child. but now i appreciate the sound. better than the integrity alarms that are in schools now days. i hateded those alarms in code 3.

I had a dream where I was at a furry convention that had an interesting alarm system: There were 3 panels: one set to march time, one set to continuous, and one set to code 3. The pull stations had 3 call points: one labeled "EVACUATION", one labeled "LOCKDOWN", and one labeled "TORNADO". The alarms were bells/horns with 2 light plates overlapping each other: one with red lamp and one with blue lamp. When you activate the "EVACUATION" call point, all alarms sound in code 3, red lamp flashes, and the panel to the left goes off. When you activate the "TORNADO" call point, all alarms go off in march time, blue lamps start flashing, and the panel to the right goes off. When you pull the "LOCKDOWN" pull station, all alarms go off in continuous, lamps alternate red and blue, and middle panel goes off.

9:42 is what my system used to sound like but the light staid on steady not flashing the old system was replaced with a simplex system 4007 with a 4009 INDEC card repeater box and simplex true alert strobe horn combos i love the new system march 3 pattern nice and loud

those old vibrating horn strobes that are from the late 70s arnt designed to work on march 3 time they were from the constant tone era but i have 2 of them in my collection

This is a hard one but hear me out. Try to get as many 4050-80 plates as you need for a full system and mount a 4050 on each of them. That would be cool
